Most people know Argh Matey as a boutique web design and SEO agency headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin. What many don't realize is that part of our story began long before Wisconsin. It began in Northern California.

Although I was born and raised in Vallejo, California, Sacramento became one of the places that shaped my early career and some of my favorite memories. I lived there for a period in my twenties, spent countless weekends with my sister and friends, worked remotely from Sacramento, and built part of Argh Matey's foundation there.

Today, even though our headquarters are in Wisconsin, Sacramento still feels like home.

Sacramento Isn't Just California's Capital

Most people know Sacramento as California's capital.

I know it a little differently.

I remember floating down the American River with friends during the summer.

I remember evenings downtown after long hot days.

I remember family dinners with my sister.

I remember applying for state jobs while figuring out my career.

One of my favorite Sacramento traditions was spending hot summer days floating the American River with friends.
